Dog Breeding Licence in Shepway
Here is some information about the rules and regulations we have to satisfy to get our breeding licence.
Under these rules no bitch is allowed to be mated until she is at least one year old, she can have no more than one litter in any 12 months period and no more than six litters in her lifetime.
Much more detailed information can be found on the link.
All our puppies are checked by our vet before they leave here. Also, they will all have had their first vaccination and of course be regularly wormed.
More information about the Kennel Club can be found here.
Here you can find out more about PAT dogs like Ben.
We microchip all our puppies before they leave for their new homes.
We use the tab bands available through ID&C for easy identification of the newborn pups.
We feed our dogs food from the CSJ range. We tried many different foods and finally found this one where we like the ingredients, the dogs like the food and the price is good too.
In June 2008 Umbra had a lovely, planned litter from our Bernese Mountain Dog we had then, Basco. One of those pups, Kerly, went to Canine Partners and was trained to live with and help a disabled person. The people at Canine Partners have turned one of those little pups on the left into that loyal friend on the right. They have made me realise quite how much potential there is in a dog.
For many reasons, Kerly will always be the most special pup we have ever bred.
